We are pleased to announce that Team Alberta’s 2009 Solar Decathlon project is the recent recipient of the Province’s Emerald Award in the Youth Category, as well as the Calgary Award for Environmental Achievement of an educational institution. Members of the 2011 Team who have carried over from the 2009 project were happy to celebrate with our former teammates, and share in this great honor. A special thanks goes out to those who nominated us, the panel of judges, the Province of Alberta, the Emerald Foundation, and the City of Calgary. We’d also like to congratulate our fellow nominees – it is always encouraging to see so much great work being done to improve our relationship with the environment, particularly the amount of activity driven by youth at both events.
